In 2001, Inje University's College of Medicine set its development plan as 'fostering medical doctors for the 21st century', and for the last 10 years it has been striving to achieve its goal of becoming the leading educational and research college.

To more effectively carry out the revisions made to the educational curriculum in 2002, the College of Medicine of Inje University revised some of its regulations and enhanced its performance evaluation for teachers. This evaluation is used to determine a professor's eligibility for reappointment and promotion, as well as his or her salary. The college also secured and executed the budget needed to improve and support the learning environment for students. In addition, workshops focusing on various medical topics are held on a regular basis, as well as a faculty development workshop and seminars for professors engaged in medical education. In the future, the school will strive to build and expand the research basis, and secure and support excellent research competencies in pursuit of greater research competitiveness.
