Education

1. Lecture and laboratory work for undergraduate students: Microbiology, Immunology, Infectious Diseases
2. Lecture for graduate students: Tumor Immunology, Transplant Immunology, Virology

Research activity

1. Inhak Choi, M.D., Ph.D.
- Defining the nature of physiologic role of immune checkpoints in immune resistance using variety of cellular and molecular biologic technologies.
- Developing some strategies to identify new immune checkpoints which act as a negative regulator by exploring big data of RNA sequences from cancer tissues and clinical data of cancer patients.
- Validating the target candidates functionally and clinically through using a variety of spontaneous mouse cancer models, and human CTL clones and gene-modified cancer cell lines.

2. Sae-Gwang Park, M.D., Ph.D.
- Development of tumor immunotherapy based on therapeutic antibody
- Mechanism of tumor metastasis
- Molecular and immunological mechanisms for tumor heterogeneity

3. Il-Whan Choi, Ph.D.
- Investigating the immunological mechanisms underlying inflammatory responses
- Developing anti-inflammatory substances from natural products

4. Su-Kil Seo, Ph.D.
- Developing novel therapeutic strategies for graft-versus-host-disease
- Developing new drug for T- cell lymphoma
- Using murine allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) models to investigate clinically important problems in HSCT and to evaluate novel therapeutic strategies which can be translated into clinical practice.

5. Hyunkeun Song, Ph.D.
- Developed the key regulatory molecules to regulate the physiological role of NK receptors in autoimmune disease and immunotherapy.
